Mike H. Sabet writes from the Riviera Maya, where the Caribbean light makes the world feel a little more vivid—and where two very different kinds of stories have found a home.
As a Belgian Citizen expat himself, he has for years helped other expatriates make sense of the often bewildering world of international living and investments. His book series, The Nomad Tax Playbook, transforms complicated home-country tax rules into clear, practical strategies for people building lives beyond their countries of origin. At the heart of that work is a simple belief: living globally should bring freedom and possibility, not the constant fear of getting something wrong with the government back home.
But there is another side to Mike’s writing.
As Chimi Soulint, he explores fiction, mythology, consciousness, and the enduring questions that have shaped human beings for thousands of years. He is currently writing an adult novel that weaves together Gnostic and Genesis traditions across three interconnected timelines.
He also writes picture books for children, including the Sophia & Leo book series. These stories reflect his belief that the earliest stories we encounter can quietly shape the way we understand ourselves, one another, and the world around us.
The two pen names represent different sides of the same writer. One works with the practical realities of living across borders; the other explores ancient myths, modern technology, and the mysteries of being human.
But the purpose is ultimately the same.
Mike believes that the right story—whether it is a practical guide, a myth retold, or a tale shared with a child—can illuminate what once seemed confusing, challenge what we take for granted, and, in the best cases, set us free.
